The Social Ministries Commitee works together with various non-profit organizations to help disadvantaged residents of our community. We, with the help of our Congregation, provide Christmas presents, Easter baskets, gift cards, personal care items and money for those who are less fortunate. We are accepting new members for our commitee. Please consider joining us!
Epiphany’s Social Ministry Committee is asking that we help Care Net to provide funds with Target gift cards to purchase big items like cribs, car seats etc. They also can use boy infant outfits size 0- 12 months. Diapers size new born and size 4 and 5. We would like to give these things to the center in Kenmore for Mother's Day. Watch for a playpen in the Narthex to be set up to collect the donations. Jacob's Well in Mountlake Terrace, a part of Vision House, houses low income women with children. Vision House is in need of funds to help the residents not only in having a place to live but provides ways to help them get jobs. The Vision House Thrift Store in Bothell, at 18827 Bothell Way NE, in the same area as QFC, accepts donations of clothing and many other things. If you have things to donate they would be happy to have them. All money made at the store goes to Vision House. We find that the food bank donations are down for HopeLink. They can always use canned fruit, meat products and cooking supplies. Thank you from the Social Ministry Committee. If you have any questions or comments please contact me or other members of the committee. - Jean Carpenter, Chairman
